Should I be concerned about a hypothyroid lymph node in my armpit that is swollen?

I am worried that this could be a sign of breast cancer?

You should be concerned about any lump or swelling that appears on your body, if you don't really know what the cause is. The best thing to do is see your medical doctor and let him/her take a look at the swelling and he will be able to take the necessary steps towards a diagnosis.

You probably should have it checked out especially if swelling increases or is painful. However, it is not necessarily a sign of breast cancer, although it could be. The more common cause is an infection or abscess from a cut. IT is better to find out than wait and worry.

It may not be anything to worry about. You should see your doctor if the swelling lasts for more than two weeks or you have symptoms such as weight loss, night sweats, fatigue, or prolonged fever. Also if the nodes are hard, fixed to the skin, or are growing rapidly.
