The normal range is 0.5 to 5.5. If your labs say 4.52, that might be considered on the higher side of the normal range, but it is not "really high." If your thyroid was high, your physician would not tell you it's high and then send you on your way. Other tests, medication, etc. would be in order.

No, a TSH of 4.52 is not extremely high. Normal values are anywhere from 0.4 to 4 or 5 (depending on the lab). With a level of 4.52, being almost within normal limits, it is not likely they would start you on any medication. Recommend repeat TSH in 3 months.

If your thyroid is more that 3.5 it is considered high, but 4.52 is not too high. It is a good idea to increase your dietary intake of iodine and sea vegetables to regulate the thyroid. My opinion is to try that before taking the toxic drugs your doctor offers.

If you refer to TSH value, 4.52 is not such a high level (normal values are between 0.1 and 3.5) but it could mean there's something wrong anyway.

I am guessing you actually mean your TSH is 4.52, which is mildly elevated and indicative of mild HYPOthyroidism. If were indeed referring to the concentration of thyroid hormone, e.g. free T4, then that is high and indicates HYPERthyroidism. Treatment is very different: supplementation (hypo) vs ablation (high).

Your thyroid level should really not be any greater than 1.0-2.0. Your thyroid level is moderately high if it is a 4.52. You will need to take levothyroxine for the rest of your life in order to keep your thyroid level low. If you do not take this medication, you may face adverse health problems such as weight gain.

The thyroid level of 4.52 is very high and your health is in danger. You are at a high risk of having a heart attack.Your metabolism will be high and medication is prescribed to slow the thyroid down, which the person will have to take all their life.

the normal range is 0.3-3.0, thus your thyroid level may indicate that you are suffering from hyperthyroidism, try to search for this disease but still you need to have more diagnostic test to confirm your condition, you may also consult an endocrinologist for further examination, because your level is really high and must really refer it because its fatal
