The best way to handle this problem is to do the best you can to keep the peace no matter how difficult this may be to accomplish. Always keep in the back of your mind that what is most important is your step daughter's wedding day. And doing what you can to avoid drama is the best gift to her.

Have a private discussion with your ex-wife that this event is for the step-daughter. That both of you must agree to be civil, for her sake - for one day.

Try and remind her what the day is actually about. It's not about problems that have arisen in the past, it's about your step-daughter's special day, and is this something she wants to ruin?

Just tell her that you don't want to ruin your step-daughters wedding by fighting with her. If it persists, just take it in stride... afterward you won't talk to her.
