My Sears rider mower battery will not charge. What's wrong?

Most likely the battery is shot. Riding mower batteries are pretty cheap now and dont handle going dead very well. With info provided that should be the solution

After a while, batteries no longer hold a charge. Most batteries rely on distilled water so it could be that your battery is out of water and needs replacing. If it is a newer battery then make sure the terminals are clean and check for a warranty.

check to see if the altenator is charging the battery. also, check to see if the wires are all connected.
