My cat is limping but doesn't seem to be in pain, so what could be the problem?

Your cat has probably injured himself somehow. He may have a slight sprain, or may have stepped on something causing a tiny cut under his paw. He should be better within a couple days, if not see a vet.

Pain IS the reason your cat is limping. Would you limp for any other reason? Where would you go if you had a limp?

It seems possible that your cat may have suffered a stroke, causing it to lose a portion of the sensation in its legs. In this case, the limp may not be painful to the cat.

Animals such as cat and dogs do not show any signs of pain, just because there are no signs of pain does not mean they are not suffering.
