Verify your puppy actually has a fever. A dog's temperature runs higher than humans, about 100-102*. Take his temperature rectally with a thermometer. If the temp is below 103* keep the pup comfortable and cool until you can see your vet. If it's over 103* find a emergency vet clinic.

How do you know the dog has a fever? Dog body temps are higher than normal human body temperatures. Make sure your pup stays hydrated. Try chix tepid broth/boullion and/or PediaLyte. Keep him warm. Don't force feed and Don't give medicine without direction from the vet. Tylenol will a dog.

Keep him comfortable and make sure he gets plenty of rest, but keep a close eye on him. Maybe let him sleep with you. Also, call emergency vets, they usually stay open 24 hours a day but can be a little bit more expensive.

I would just make sure the puppy has enough water and maybe try some baby tylonel. Usually the fever will pass in a day or so as long as the puppy doens't have the runs too.
