My 2003 Jetta 2.0 is overheating. What should I start eliminating to find the cause?

It started while I was driving.

I suggest that you park the car and switch the engine off !! Let the car stand for a couple of minutes, check for water under the car, if none you can eliminate any leaks. Move to your radiator, checking for water. Be carefull it would still be hot.

Most times this is caused by the coolant level being too low. Once your sure the level is full, keep an eye out for leaks.
