Is there such a thing as carpal tunnel in the shoulder?

An ER doctor told me I have carpal tunnel in my shoulder. I went to a chiropractor, who said it's probably the rotator cuff.

Carpal tunnel syndrome involves the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the palm of the hand. The nerve can become pressed/squeezed at the wrist, which can cause pain, numbness, etc. The median nerve does not extend to the shoulder. Your problem is likely a rotator cuff injury.
