Is there any material or agent to make a quarter to half inch thick resin object?

I would recommend using a fiberglass resin. This can be purchased at most auto parts stores and many of the big box stores. It comes in various quantities and is a two part mixture of resin and hardener. It is available in pints,quarts, and gallons.

There is fiberglass. Depending on the hardening resin or if you know how to work with it (making molds, sanding, etc.), you could make anything you'd want with it.
