Is there a proven link between cholesterol-lowering statins and memory loss?

There have only been a few studies on this subject. The major ones have found link between statins and memory loss. Scientists do believe that there may be some people are genetically susceptable to memory loss side effects from statins. There does not appear to be a direct link to alzheimers, maybe more susceptable.

There have been a few studies concerning statins and memory loss and all but a couple minor ones have not found a link. Some scientists believe though that a small portion of the population may be genetically susceptible to memory loss side effects from statins.
