Some vegetables are good for dogs while others can be toxic. Broccoli and onions can cause gastrointestinal problems, for example. Better to just give them a high-quality dog food.

Dogs are, technically, carnivores. However, in practice, they are omniviorous, and can thrive on a mixed diet. There are some dog food formulations that are vegetarian. However, some vegetables are bad for your dog, such as onions, grapes, raisins, avocados and seeds from many fruits. (For example, apple seeds have cyanide in them.)

Your dog may eat any kind of cooked or raw vegetable that appeals to them. However, bear in mind that a dog's natural diet is protein, dogs are carnivores. If you feed your dog vegetables, make sure it gets a diet that is at least 20% protein, such as beans o legumes which are a good source of protein.
