There are two-piece prom dresses out there. If you can't find one, though, you can get a two-piece look by adding a coordinating jacket or by buying a dress that has a different color top and bottom. If you want to be really daring, try a female tuxedo!

A two-piece prom dress may be difficult to find but you may find one at a small, local dress shop that specializes in bridesmaid and prom gowns. If you cannot find a dress that you like, consider enlisting the help of a relative or friend to make one for you.

I am sorry to say, but in all of the years that I have been alive, I have never seen a two-piece prom dress. Maybe you can create one out of one of your old dresses!

Yes it is I have seen many of them. You might want to start looking at David's Bridal and other places like that for that item.

Of course it's possible, but don't look for classical prom dresses in usual shops. Try to find a very elegant suit not too formal (made of fine fabric, in brilliant colours).

Some shops like the Deb have two piece dresses that have a separate top and skirt. This can also help with sizing and give a more unique look. It's definitely not as popular to find these styles, but I'm sure you could search online and find some modern cuts if stores don't have as many.

It depends on what kind of different you are looking for. There ARE prom dresses that come in two pieces; a halter top with a skirt, etc. You might be able to mix and match the skirt and top.

It won;t be possible if you're looking for something that isn't risqué. Many places do now allow such skin exposure. A two piece wouldn't even be called a dress, it would be considered a suit or outfit.
