Is it okay to be in love with your cousin?

We say love is blind because love doesnt see who and what he or she is. But according to science we see that we should maryy the first cousins. As the children will be born with some minor or major defects.

If you are related to your cousin only by law, then it is okay. That is, if your cousin is the son/daughter of your step-mother/father, then you aren't technically related to them and there is no risk of incest. Biological cousins are not okay to be in love with.
