It is not okay to leave a wet diaper on a baby all night. Beside the fact of the baby becoming uncomfortable, a rash can also occur ranging from minor to severity. Most of the time, the parents will hear a cry when the diaper needs to be changed. Otherwise, it is not necessary to volunteer repeatedly throught the night.

Getting up in the middle of the night is just part of having a baby. It is hard work, but if you want to keep your baby healthy, you will get used to it over time. It is not okay to leave your baby in wet diapers for an extended period of time.

It's safe in the sense that nothing "really" bad will happen, but they may develop a rash, or the diaper might overflow.

Your baby or your babies body will tell you. If he or she awakens, and you think it might be the soggy diaper, change it. If your baby doesn't wake up, and he or she does not get a rash from the extra time spent in the diaper, it's ok.

If your baby does not develop diaper rashes easily, then it is okay to not change a wet diaper all night.
