Yes, it is ok to mix bread in a food processor, but the food processor should be large. The dough should have plenty of room to move, so consider that when picking a machine to purchase. Many of the nicer devices have dough hooks, and that is the optimal tool.

It is "okay" as in possible, but if your processor is not high quality, there's a good chance its either too small or will be torn up by the process. Try a stand mixer or a bread machine, or do the process by hand unless you want a mess in your kitchen.

It should be fine to mix dough in a food processor, though you may want to check your user manual to find out which blade and setting to use.
