Is it normal for a foot to swell from a wart that is on the ball of your foot?

I have a wart on the ball of my foot and now my foot is swelling, could the two be related?

The two things could be related if the wart has become irritated in some way. It is not overly likely for them to be one in the same as a ward is more isolated. If the wart causes you discomfort, due to pressure behind it you may be walking funny to compensate for the pain.

Possibly, if the swelling is near the wart it could mean the wart is an infected and is spreading though out the foot.

It is unlikely that the two conditions are related. A wart is caused by a viral infection that is confined to the surface of your skin. Swelling of the whole foot is more likely a circulation problem.

I'm not a doctor, so I don't know for sure. In my experience, a wart shouldn't cause swelling. Please see a doctor!
