Is it good or bad to warm up a car before you drive it?

It really depends on the amount of time and if you're in a closed place (like a garage...) You shouldn't let it idle to the point where it's near overheating, so I would say 10 minutes or so tops. Never heat up your car in a closed space! Just be smart about it.

Well naturally warming a car takes gas so that would be an obvious downside but other than that it is relatively fine unless one heats his or her car in a garage or closed space. That can be dangerous so just heat in an open area.
