Higher than normal blood glucose levels can increase the occurrence of yeast infections as it provides an optimum environment for yeast growth. Keeping your blood sugar level within normal range on a consistent basis using frequent glucose testing, as well as diligently practicing good hygiene, can help diminish the occurrence of yeast infections in diabetics.
