No, as long as you're not deleting them from a folder necessary to run your operating system. If you don't need the files anymore, go ahead and delete them. However, if you're not sure what it is, and it's in a folder that you did not create, leave it alone.

This is related to disk space available on your PC. If your pc has more space then deleting compressed is not necessary. Otherwise it is necessary to work programs are faster. Compressed file gives us more space on computer. Deleted file may contain a valuable information or picture then deleting becomes a big mistake.

If you're talking about the disk cleanup option,no. It is not actually deleting anything either,it is compressing the files that you haven't used for awhile to save disk space. All compressing does is shrink files and make them a little slower to open and can always be reversed.

Usually not. There is a setting on computers running Windows OS to compress old-non-essential files. It checks to see when they were last used, and compresses them.

There is no danger in deleting compressed files, if the files will definitely not be required in the future then they can't be deleted safely.

Compressing old files as part of the disk space freeing takes files that have not been used in a long time, and compresses them to consume less disk space. That does not mean that the system, or the user might not need them at a given time. This is why you should check if the files you delete are needed.

If the data in the file is unwanted, then it can be deleted. The format of the file is immaterial.

No, if you are deleting the old files because you mean to, then all you are doing is clearing up space that is being taken up.
