Is Dear Abby really good for solving relationship problems?

I think only the person in the relationship can really solve their own problems, but it seems to help with confidence and skill building when someone can give you advice along the way. I'd say that the columns similar to Dear Abby can help.

No. That is a person that is paid to sit there and just say something to make you feel good about a situation. The only person that can solve your problems are you and your partner talking it out or seeking counseling from a professional.

It can be sometimes, but the only issue with this column is that it can take a long time for her to answer because she always gets so many questions.

She may be good for in general advice but you can not solve relaionship problems unless you actually know the person or are the one in the relationship.
