Cows milk contains lactose and cats especially kittens are lactose intolerant which may cause severe stomach upset. There are plenty of milk replacement formulas available for kittens that can be purchased via a vets, from pet stores or even off the internet. The instructions on the tin or packet should be followed carefully and fed by bottle designed for small animals.

Cow's Milk will make it sick, so it's best to buy kitten formula so that it gets the nutrients it needs. Cats generally don't do too well with cow milk.

Cow's milk is safe for cats to drink. However, if an adult cat was not fed cow's milk as a kitten, they will have problems digesting it and it may give them diarrhea. Kittens who have been recently feeding on mother's milk will have an easier time accepting cow's milk.

You should never give cows milk to kittens since they cannot digest it and can cause severe diarrhea. Kitten milk replacements are available in most pet stores or vet clinics. Mix it with warm water according to the dilution on the can and feed it to the kitten via a bottle. Make sure to stimulate its elimination after each feeding.
