Well since they require minimal care, it would be a great pet. You should get a 10-gallon tank and use clean spring water in the tank.

I have two african water frogs and they are great pets. They require very little maintenace. The water very rarely has to be changed. They only have to be fed one pellet each every other day. The most important thing to remember is you have to keep a snail in the tank.

that depends on what you expect from a pet. An African water frog doesn't have much personality, it won't play games or anything like that. It has about the same interaction level as a goldfish.

African water frogs are easy to care for and require very little maintenance. A covered tank of water with gravel, a filter, and a good hiding place and you're set. Feeding them is easy as well, since they're scavengers. Commercial pet food is readily available.

African water frogs could be a good pet if you know what your getting into. you must feed them every other day or they will start to eat any thing in the tank. If you learn the right way to care for on it cuold be a great pet.
