Is a ShihTzu-Yorkie a good mix for kids?

NO, most small dogs are not good for small children. Kids can get right in the dogs face and it intimades them, it might cause them to bite your child. Aslo small kids dont know how to handle a small dog and it could also get hurt very easily. Get a mid sized dog.

It depends on the dog. Some mixes may not be good around kids. There is both variation in the breed temperament and in individual dogs.

I would not recommend a small breed dog in a household with small children. They snap easily at kids pulling their tails and ears.

thats funny cause we just got a shi tzu yorkie mix and she is beautiful with my 6yr old daughter
