Is a scavenger hunt a good activity for a birthday party?

It is an awesome activity. Look for safety pins, erasers. Or it could be for all of the things in their goodie bags. Things like stickers, suckers, toys, noise makers. Whatever would be in the goodie bga. Give them a list of what to find so they don't grab too many.

I had a scavenger hunt at one of my birthday party's as a teenager. The reward was McDonalds Dollars (before Gift cards). It was fun and my friends all enjoyed it.
