Yes. As long as you cover all important details about your qualification,experience,achievements,etc. in one page the resume will look better. People don't spend much time in reading resumes. Typically they will spend few minutes in scanning your resume. You need to take care of this while reworking your resume.

It honestly depends on how much information you have that is important for the certain job you are applying for at this time. You don't want to leave anything out, but if you over well them with information they will get bored. Never ever go over 2 pages no matter what though.

Defenitely one page resume is always better. You give the resume in brief. People will find it easy to follow if they try your resume.
