They rotate counter clockwise if they are north of the Equator and, because of this counter clockwise rotation, the stronger winds are on the hurricane's right side of its forward path.

A hurricane always seems to rotate from left to right. In film footage it never rotates right to left, maybe it just how the wind picks up and rotates the clouds.

The cyclonic winds of a hurricane rotate in a counterclockwise direction around a eye. If this type of storm forms in the western Pacific Ocean, it is called a typhoon.
