Insurance will cover the damage to your vehicle if you have comprehensive coverage in your auto insurance policy. Comprehensive coverage covers the damage to your vehicle, while liability coverage covers the damage that you might do to someone else's vehicle. Comprehensive coverage is also commonly refered to as full coverage insurance.

Automobile insurance companies in all states will cover you in accidents even if it is not your fault. If you hit a person, car or a deer, you have to pay a deductible, file police report, and an insurance claim. Insurance will pay the bill depending the coverage you have.

It depends if you are covered for that or not. Some states have the options where you can just get insurance for if you hit another driver. So if you have full coverage you should be covered against deer damage.

This has more to do with the type of coverage you purchase instead of where you live. If you have comprehensive coverage, you are covered for collision with an animal.
