In a chess game, can a player call en passant when the passing pawn is calling check on the ?

Yes, a player can claim en passant when the passing pawn is calling check on the king. En passant can be called at any time when it is legal.

A player can call en passant when the opponent's pawn makes the initial move ( 2 squares) passing the player's pawn. The en passant can be used if the pawn puts the King in check. If the pawn move opened up another piece that placed the King in check, the player in check HAS to remove the check.
