I'm in the USA looking to market products in Colombia. What suggestions do you have?

First decide whether you are after efficiency or effectiveness, most global industries have learned the lesson that a standardized product does not sell well. Therefore, learn the cultural customs of your target market and do not expect to sell your goods or services in Colombia the same that you would in America.

You can market microbrew beers from the US, and there are really some good ones in Michigan. Micro brews are a growing business, and they are looking to expand, also, American winery companies, like Napa Valley and Michigan vineyards's (Madonna's father has one of the best vineyards in the Midwest).

Use facebook. Greate you AD and chose your target(country).Remmember to create multiple versions of your Facebook Ads. Successful advertiers recommend starting off with 5 to 10 versions of your ads to test which combinations of images and test are most effective.Good luck.

I think i would first think about relations between the two countries. then i would consider my product, is it something that will be well received in columbia? next i would try to find people in charge of imports and analyze their attitudes against the u.S.A. consider the cost and what it would cost to ship,etc.

I suggest you surf the internet and search for what you want then contact more companies by email and ask for offers. Gather as many offers as possible and when you found the best company to make business with contact them on a skype conference or on the phone.

Make sure the products you want to market is allowed to be exported. Also make sure you are able to get licenses and the profit margin is worth it.

It is best to do your research and find what products are in demand. Since it gets rather cold over there you could market products such as warm clothing

Get connections in the drug cartels, and market your products to them. You will probably be taxed heavily to start off, but once you run some of their drugs for them, I'm sure they won't mind cutting you a break and giving you a family discount. Good luck in your endeavor.

First study about Colombian culture and find what things are famous there this is the first step for marketing in other cities.

I suggest you take a trip to Colombia and have a little trial session with the natives. Things that are cool in America don't always blow over well in foreign countries. Have the natives try some of your products and see if they like them. Sell the ones that go over very well.

As a fellow American citizen and one who has deep interest in the South American countries, your best bet would be meat and poultry.
