Question by  liilii (103)

I'm in my mid-twenties and have smile lines, should i go for fillers, is it age appropriate?

I had them for a while but now their just becoming more obvious, especially when i put foundation! I'd have two big lines on the sides of my mouth which make me appear so much older than i really am, i was once told i looked 34!

The choice to get a cosmetic procedure would be your own. However, I think you may be a little young for fillers, most women don't get them until their 40's. Try using a different foundation, try Covergirl simply ageless, it won't sit in your smile lines like other foundations.

I don't think you should have fillers, "smile lines" are a natural part of the ageing process and when people mess with mother nature we tend to regret it.

It sounds like you need a lighter foundation not a smother face! You don't want to get filler in your 20's. it makes you look pudgy and taught, like your face has no character!

There are women who start fillers in their mid-twenties. Many doctors do not have age restrictions when it comes to fillers, but often discourage women 18 to 20 from having the procedure done. This is because the skin is still regenerating in the early 20's. It is a good idea to get the opinion of a dermatologist.
