The homosexual community faces pressure in society every day. Although there are many places in the country where homosexuality is accepted, there are more conservative places where it is not tolerated, probably because it goes against the Bible and is considered a sin.

I do not think gay people are hated. If you feel that way it may because of something that happened in your background.

Society hasn't totally accepted homosexuality quite yet. There are still some people, actually most people, who hate gays. Most just don't understand why gays feel the way they do, have the sexual preferences they do or that they're just normal everyday people who just happen to have different sexual tastes.
