Most important, do not stop your current treatment on your own. Untreated glaucoma can cause blindness. Talk to your doctor about what you don't like, they can make adjustments. Several alternative treatments are homeopathic and holistic medicine, yoga, nutrition changes and biofeedback. To date, no proof that they work.

If you have glaucoma it is necessary for you to lower the eye pressure in order to fix this issue. Many individuals attempt to do so by using different eye drops and if that doesn't work they may have to have a surgical procedure to resolve the glaucoma issue.

The light smoking of the herb commonly known as pot can help ease the ocular pressure felt as a result of the presense of glaucoma. Alternatively there are other methods of consuming the active drugs within marijuana such as synthetic THC in pill form known as a drug called Marinol.

In states that have legalized medical marijuana, doctors usually recommend taking marijuana to help deal with certain diseases including glaucoma.
