If your tooth was pulled five days ago, you should absolutely not still be experiencing any sort of pain. At most, after five days, you may experience some tenderness or sensitivity, but certainly not pain. Acutally, within the first day or two, you should have noticed a reduction in bleeding and pain.

It's not uncommon to experience pain for several days after a tooth extraction. If you feel like it hurts "more than it should" or more than it has in the past (if you've had other teeth pulled), then contact your dentist's office. It is possible you have a dry socket, and if so there are things your dentist can do!

No. You should feel some discomfort but not full blown pain. Call your dentist right away to make sure everything went okay. He can give you pain medication.
