I am on probation until 5/18/2010. I have a DUI charge from 2006. Can I travel to Denmark/Copenhagen from the US?

The short answer is yes but there are certain stipulations. Since you are still on probation you will need to have written permission from your probation officer. Make certain you have it on your person along with your passport in case the subject comes up.

If you have a valid passport, you won't have any problems. Were you to require a visa for an extended stay or work visit, you could possibly have an issue.

Once your passport is scanned, you will be sent right back. You will then have a wait of about 10 years before you can visit Denmark again.

Most likely you can. If you can get a passport you shouldn't have any problems. Make sure you get permission from your probation officer though! They control your travels. You may not be able to get a rent-a-car if you do go.

Under the Visa Waiver Program you must file for a visa at your local embassy if you were convicted of a DUI or any other crime
