How to unlock an oven door after it has gone through a self-cleaning?

Yesterday I set my oven to self clean and have not been able to unlock it since.

Allow oven to cool according to manufacturers directions before attempting to unlock. If that doesn't work, try unplugging, wait 5 minutes, plug back in, set clock and try to unlock.

you can try to get a screw driver and take it apart that would take a while but you would eventually get it open. Anther good solution would be to look for the manual that came with it and to find a good way to do that. If you can't find it call an expert.

I hope you have the manual. If you don't or it doesn't explain, then you must go online to the manufacturer of the stove. There might even be a phone number on the site and you can call direct.

You may need to have a person look at it to find out. It locks so that the fumes while cleaning it. You might press clear on it and it will unlock. Or press the self cleaning again and then press clear, that may unlock it. Or get a book about the oven to find out.
