You can get a crown right after the root canal is finished. As long as the root canal has been checked and it is complete.

A root canal will put a temporary plug into where your nerve used to be. Before six weeks are up you will need to get a permanent plug and maybe a crown lengthening procedure and then a crown or else the temporary one will disintegrate and expose your tooth to bacteria etc...

Basically right away. Some dentists will just put the cap on right after they do the root canal. Others will wait until your next visit to put it on. So if you've got the root canal you can schedule your appointment to get the crown put on anytime that you have free.

The sooner the better. If you wait too long your tooth will become brittle and crack, causing you to need an extraction.

It should be done as early as possible. After root canal has been done ,the teeth becomes brittle in due course because of lack of blood supply. This makes the tooth to chip off on its own when hard substances are chewed.

Usually it is best to do the crown within a few weeks so that there is no further damage to the tooth. A crown is most of the time placed 14 days after the root canal is done.
