Cut the leaves back to about 6-8 inches long, but don't cut back the shoots. Carefully dig up and replant with a good bulb fertilizer.

moving iris is a fairly easy job that is best done in the fall but can be done in the spring too. First water, then cut tops to about 3" from the bulb. Then dig up and plant in new spot to the same depth.

Removal and transportation of irises should be performed in the late autumn. Irises may be transported in a dry container between the temperatures of 40 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Its fairly easy, Iris are a bulb plant so you can break the leaves off and dig up the bulb and simply replant.

Iris grow from your bulbs, so your best bet is to wait until they are dormant in the winter and dig up the bulb, then replant it. Bulbs are very transportable.

First dig up the irises carefully so that as many roots come with the tuber as possible. Put them into a planting medium like peat moss so they do not dry out. Replant them asap mixing the peat moss with the soil. Add some granular fertilizer and water in.
