How often should dogs get vaccinations?

What if they're always indoors?

When owning a dog, you should get their vaccinations once a year. Even if that dog is kept inside, they have to go outside eventually to use the restroom and if they are not properly vaccinated, they could catch something. Especially since diseases can be spread by birds.

Most vets will send the owner a reminder telling you that the dog's shots are due. If he doesn't you'll have to call and ask. My dog is always indoors so she doesn't get like rabies shots.
