An all fruit diet doesn't sound like too good of an idea - you need more nutrients than can be provided by fruit alone. Also, your weightloss is going to be determined more by the amount that you eat... You can gain weight even by eating too many apples!

An all-fruit diet for would be nearly 100% fructose. This means that 90% of the weight you will lose will be from diarrhea and accute dehydration. If you manage to drink enough water to avoid dehydration, you will flush your vital nutrients out and risk hyponutermia (coma, seizure, death).

Losing weight in a healthy way is best accomplished by eating a balanced, low calorie diet. Fruit only will not provide a balanced meal.

You will certainly be losing a lot of weight but would not be able to keep that diet for long, since there are hardly any nutrients in fruits.

You don't want to eat only fruit - that wouldn't get you the necessary nutrition and could possibly give you too much of one thing, such as fiber. Concentrate on portion control rather than food type control to lose weight.

Your weight loss will depend on how much you are overweight. A diet based only on fruit is insane and leads to illness, since fruit do not contain proteins and several vitamins. Then you will gain back all the weight. The only reasonable thing is a balanced diet.
