The answer to this really depends on the length of time that you have been employed, and your current efforts to obtain another job. Visit the unemployment agency in Vermont. They will assist you in getting the maximum length of time that you personally are elligable for.

In case you mean the unemployment RATE, than theoretically it can be 100%. Practically it is determined by supply and demand on the Labour Market. On this marker, demand for work comes from firms and other institutions, while supply is offered by households. Unemployment can be also divided as compulsory, cyclical and optional.

It really depends on what kind of job that you lost, and are collecting unemployment on. You collect only partially on what you would have been making on the career/job you lost or are supose to be doing. If you are an engineer, you would make 1/2 of what you would make as an engineer, there is a time limit.
