The dose of Flagyl depends on the dogs weight. The average dog can be medicated a dose of about 3mg-23mg per pound of your dog's weight, orally, 1 to 4 times per day or as directed by the veterinarian. The dose must be prescribed by the vet so you can give appropriate dose for your dog.

The average dosage is about 3. 4mg per pound. You should ALWAYS CONTACT YOUR VET for medical information on your pet. This is a prescription and should be treated as such.

With Flagyl, as with all canine antibiotics, the dose required is based on the dogs weight. A vet would be the best person to ask.

It would be best to contact your vet. When prescribed, directions should have been included which will advise the dosage. If not, please contact the vet before administering medication to your dog. Flagyl is a powerful and potentially dangerous medication and should not be given unless prescribed by a vet.

You should always follow the instructions of a vet when giving a dog medications. Only use the amount needed to treat whatever condition the dog has, otherwise it might build up immunity to antibiotics and they won't be effective anymore. This can potentially kill a dog if it has an infection and needs antibiotics to treat it.

Flagyl is a type of antibiotic, and as with most or all antibiotics, the dosage amount is based on the dog's weight. You should talk with your vet to learn the dosage amount. Do not give larger amounts or use this medication longer than prescribed. Symptoms and side effects are vomiting, seizures, fever, chills, swelling, mouth sores and diarrhea.

Flagyl is a very powerful and potentnailly dangerous antibiotic. I would advise you to see a vet and get the exact dosage and suggestion from a veterinarian. If not, your treatment may mask a serious disorder if its given without as prescribed.
