How many different varieties are there of mango trees?

I need to know more about varieties of mango trees.

There are 143 different mango varieties. There may be more but in my sources that is what I found. A few of them are Becky, Jewel, sydney, Mamita, manilla, ott.

There are some 500 to 1000 named varieties of mango. But on the more practical side about 350 are grown in commercial nurseries.

Sindhri and Chaunsa are popular variety in Pakistan, Alphonso is used in Maharashtra for making pickled mangos, Langra, Anwar Ratoal and Malva are popular varieties grown throughout South America, and in Thailand and Indonesia green mangos are popular.

There are hundreds of mango cultivars, with the most commonly grown and sold being the Tommy Atkins (it's not as sweet as others, but it's very tolerant of shipping).

The best way to find them all is to do a google search on them. But I can tell you this there are a few poisonous varieties of it you do not want. A couple of them are poison ivy and the other one that pops into my head is poison sumac.
