A baby is born with between three hundred and three hundred and fifty bones in their bones. As the child grows older, some bones grow together to form a single bone which can be seen in a baby's skull. By the time the baby reaches adulthood, he will only have two hundred and six bones.

While it is possible that some people are born missingcertain bones, the typical number you are born with 206 (two hundred and six) bones in your body. As you grow, some of the soft bones (cranium or skull) grow together and fuse, creating the hardened skull that you will need to protect your brain.
