Question by  hotmess (22)

How long will it take for my grape vines to give fruit?

I started three grape vines from seeds of my favorite grapes, and they grew and look very healthy; however, this is the third year, and I haven't seen any grapes on them yet. Are they ever going to fruit for me? If so, how long will I wait?

Grape breeding method adopted cuttings or grafting, if you want to use stones of grapes planted, may also be able to germinate, but there can be no grapes in the future. If use the right way ,you will see grapes about 90 days later.

I will be patient; however, someone told me that they need to be grafted in order to fruit. Is that an issue?  add a comment

It usually takes 3-5 years, and longer when you plant from seed (rather than cuttings). Make sure you prune them back well this year.

I think you should look into fertilizer that is good for grapes. Ask the nursery for help. Maybe there is a combination of problems. Soil, fertilizer, sun etc.
