In my experience, the results are pretty quick-- he should start to feel better after about a day or so, depending on the severity of the infection. However, just like people, cats need to keep taking their antibiotics until they are out of pills. I know it's not an easy or fun job to do, though.

The Amoxil should kill all the organisms within 24 hours or so, however, the inflammation of the urinary system resultant from the infection will likely take 2 to 3 days before it is better.

Upon initiation of antibiotics, symptoms of a UTI begin to improve within a day or two. By the end of the treatment course the cat should be back to normal. Be sure to continue the entire course of antibiotics even if the cat appears to be symptom-free.

Well, it should take about 5 days to work on the cat. You have to make sure you do not miss a dose at all. Also, you need to realize that you have to complete the full course of the medicine. How badly your cat is sick will reflect on when he is taking the medicine.

Amoxicilin will start to work on your cat within 3 days.Make sure you still give it to the cat for the whole time.
