13 week old babies sleep a great deal of the time. Your baby is only three months old and will not be awake for much of the day. They should have on average from three to four naps a day that last from one to two hours each. Do not look a gift horse in the mouth.

I know you've heard this before but every baby is different. 13 weeks is still pretty young and they might sleep 12 hours at night with a couple long naps during the day, (maybe two or three 2hour naps). Of course as with any concerns always contact your doctor.

A baby can sleep upwards of 16 hours. Rember your baby is small and all this stimulation they are reciving outside the womb is vwry stimulating. Most babies sleep alot at this time and only wake to eat and get a little play.

Newborn babies eat, sleep and fill diapers! They will regulate their own sleep for several months. Premature infants tend to sleep more until at least the day of their birth should have occurred. Sleep is a great way for infants to complete their newborn growth that did not occur in the womb.

At 13 weeks my children both slept a lot. Most babies don't sleep all night. Sleeping a couple of hours at night and waking up to eat and then sleeping again. If you feel your baby is sleeping to long you need to do more play with the baby.

Babies of this age usually sleep between 12-18 hours a day. As long as your baby is waking up to eat and is wetting 6-10 diapers a day, things should be alright.
