On average female dogs carry their puppies for a minimum of 8 weeks -- average is 9 weeks. Keep a good eye out at about 58 days after the time the dogs mated because it could be any day. There are many signs to be out on the look out for, for example if she is panting heavy.

The normal gestation period for dogs is 59-63 days. Pregnancy might not be apparent early on, so it is hard to know the exact due date.

If she just got pregnant, it may not be too late to have her spayed. You can talk to your vet about the feasibility of that option. If she does have to have the puppies, you can expect the gestation to take around 63 days, with a normal range being anywhere from 59 to 64.
