How long do you broil pork chops to make sure they're done all the way through?

Answer by  kspejewski (19)

Pork chops should be broiled for approximately eight minutes on each side. It is important to make sure the pork chops are thoroughly cooked to avoid food contamination. The best way to check for doneness is to use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. The internal temperature should be a minimum of 150 degrees F.

I broil mine for about 20 minutes. Any longer than that and they seem to get really tuff. I also add just a touch of butter.
