In most cases, there is an inverse relationship between altitude and temperature, meaning that the higher the altitude, the lower the temperature is.

Generally speaking, the higher in altitude the colder the climate. While hot air rises, it also goes from areas of high to low. That is why mountains are cold buy valleys they make are warm.

Your altitude has a great effect on the temperature around you because the higher you go the further the temperature will drop. This is why when you look at moutains, you will see that most tops of them are always covered with snow all year around and never melt.

ude and temperature are adversely related. As you increase your altitude, the temperature decreases. This is why it can be warm in the valleys and cold in the mountains.
