The fumes in the glue when you smell them for a long period of time give you a sense of Euphoria that tends to make you high within a short period of time. The fumes are or can be toxic to a person. It is highly addictive to an addict when they are looking for a way to get high.

Sniffing glue is extremely addictive, tough to quit, and kills a lot of brain cells. It gets you high by essentially, shutting down your brain.

When you inhale glue vapors, there are two effects. The first is the chemicals within the glue altering your perceptions. The second effect is that you get less oxygen as you inhale the glue particles, causing partial oxygen deprivation, causing a distant feeling and even hallucinations.
